The Hai Story
Driven by Demand for Safe Consumption
From the beginning, our mission was to make cannabis consumption safe. Beverage-industry veterans Bruce Clark and Chris Hoffmeister happened to be in the Gulf Islands, enjoying social drinks (wine from a box) and talking about how new cannabis legislation could disrupt the market.
They weren’t marijuana enthusiasts themselves, but knew that THC products, including beverages, would soon be available. As parents, they wanted to create a product that would prioritize safety. That meant a low dose that would be highly bio-available. With effects felt quickly, as with alcohol, consumers would be unlikely to ingest too much. It meant a precision product, where the infusion would be predictable every time, regardless of the beverage brand chosen. After 3 years of collaborating with scientists and other beverage professionals, HAI is that mission brought to reality.
